Only history will determine the significance
of the role of the Church of the Transfiguration. From a worldly
perspective, the work that has been accomplished is miraculous,
good fortune or the application of mere natural abilities and
hard work. But the undeniable call of God and our response in
Christian diligence and commitment has undergirded our

effort with beautiful
facilities in which to minister to the greater community.
As a parish, kneeling before the altar, offering our prayers of
thanksgiving for our life in the church and for the manifold gifts
that have been so graciously given, we continue to seek the Divine
Grace for patience and wisdom that we might endure the challenges
and the changes required of us all by our Lord Jesus Christ. We
entreat Him that our parish may continue to shoulder the responsibility
of maintaining an Altar in a place that is a holy and beautiful,
indeed a meet environment for the worship in faith of the Blessed
Trinity.
As long as we have breath, we press forward on the Kings Highway,
gratefully acknowledging the many generous and zealous people
who have been and continue to be part of this pilgrimage. They
have taught us and encouraged us along the way and we thank them.
Assessment of past accomplishments by the Grace of God can only
be a respite before continuing the tasks ahead. The labor is all
consuming, but it is filled with joy and satisfaction. Will you
come and join us in our parish life, in worship, in receiving
the Sacraments, in study and in prayer, as an occasional visitor
or, should you be moved of God, as a parishioner; but please know
that all who are of good will are welcome in our parish.
Dominus Vobiscum,
The Lord be with you,
Msgr. Winifred Blair, Pastor |
